Hello and welcome!
Becoming a cookier was never in my plans. In fact, I was a teacher and academic coach for 31 years, and I had no time or energy for anything additional. After I retired, I found myself searching for a creative outlet.
One evening my husband, John, and I were watching a Christmas cookie challenge show.
I casually asked, “Do you think I could do that? It looks like fun.”
A couple of weeks later, I attempted my first set of decorated sugar cookies. I found it to be very frustrating, but I was hooked.
Cookies started out as a hobby, but they have turned into a full time business. Creating unique designs for the special events in people’s lives is something I find very rewarding. I can’t think of anything more perfect for my retirement years.
In my spare time, I enjoy being Mia to my two beautiful grandchildren. My husband and I enjoy hiking and searching out waterfalls. In cold or rainy weather, you might find us antiquing. I love my flower gardens and get a lot of enjoyment out of creating beautiful container gardens.
